the rawlings partnership was founded in 2022 by James Rawlings to write, produce and direct comedy content for brands and agencies. So, whatever it is you're after, TV and digital content, radio and podcasts or all manner of social, look no further. 

 

James started out as a comedian and won the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 2002 with his sketch act The Consultants. The Consultants went onto have four series on BBC Radio 4. As a comedy actor he’s starred in all sorts of films and television including, Bridget Jones, St Trinians, the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Nathan Barley. He's written for comedians such as Steve Coogan, Bill Bailey and Chris Morris. 

He moved into advertising in 2010, setting up comedy production company Hoot as Creative Director. He quickly established himself as a leading comedy writer and director within the industry. He has written and directed over 100 comedy spots for brands including Virgin, Pizza Hut, Philips, Unilever, Tesco, Asda, Diet Coke, KLM, The National Lottery and Primark to name but a few. From 2018 to 2021 he was Creative Director of comedy content house, Gaggle Productions, writing and directing campaigns for B&Q, Meatless Farm, Skittles and Oxford Landing.

Since 2021 James has been hosting 'Dissecting the Frog', a podcast which discusses comedy in advertising with guests from the film, acting and comedy world such as BAFTA winning director Jim Field Smith and award winning actor writer Rufus Jones.
